EGX Rezzed 2017 PAWARUMI Takes Shoot Em Ups To The Next Level

EGX Rezzed 2017 PAWARUMI Takes Shoot Em Ups To The Next Level.

Shoot em up arcade styled games are the best ones out there, and PAWARUMI is one of them. New into the gaming world, this was the most nostalgic game I came across in the EGX Rezzed event at the Tobacco Dock, London. The main objective of the game is to fly a fighter plane, which is more like a space ship and destroy the oncoming enemy who are throwing loads of bombs and bullets towards it. The player has to dodge them in time and destroy the enemy planes. In the end of each stage there is of course the Boss to destroy which is a lot of fun. The game has different levels, which are from easy to hard, and the last one is very difficult to master. There are three weapons which include Serpent, which fires many shots, Condor, which fires a narrow beem and Jaguar, which fires energetic missiles on enemies which are locked on in a cone. The last weapon is the panic one, known as the Super Attack which combines all the weapons are destroys everything in front of it. EGX Rezzed 2017 PAWARUMI Takes Shoot Em Ups To The Next Level

I was briefed by Alex Lutz, one of the team members who developed this game, and asked him some questions about the game.

The London Tree: On what platforms do you plan to release the game?

Alex Lutz: We plan to release the game on PC, Mac and Linux. For that, we have joined Kickstarter in order to raise funds

The London Tree: When do you plan to release it?

Alex Lutz:
We plan to release it somewhere in May or June.EGX Rezzed 2017 PAWARUMI Takes Shoot Em Ups To The Next Level

The London Tree: It also looks very much like a game to be played on a console, do you plan to release it on any?

Alex Lutz: Yes. If we see that this game is a success on PC, then we will release the game on consoles too. We mainly aim to release it on Nintendo Switch because it enables the player to play it anywhere anytime.

The London Tree: The game play is very smooth, how did you manage to do that?

Alex Lutz: We worked very hard on doing so. We worked on tweaking the weapon designs and the ship movement including everything in the game. We wanted everything to be precise and easy to play.

The London Tree: Tell us about your team involved in developing the game.

Alex Lutz: We are from France and the team consists of three persons. We have been in the industry for ten years now and have also worked on games like Assassin’s Creed. Therefore, we have quite a lot of experience. Now we have gone Indie, because it gives us a lot of creative freedom and that is how we came up with the game Pawarumi. We have had the most fun making and playing this game. Please, also support us on Kickstarter.
