12th London Korean Film Festival 2017 Dates Announced With A Great Line Up Of Films Yet To Be Released

Running now for 11 years in the United Kingdom, the London Korean Film Festival’s 12th edition will see a return this year in the month of October, continuing on into November. A festival focusing solely on Korean films will run from 26th October to 19th November starting first from London, and then continuing on into cities like Glasgow, Belfast, Sheffield, Manchester and Nottingham. It will be a total of 25 days of Korean feature films, short films, classics, documentaries, animations and much more which will be shown all over the United Kingdom. 12TH London Korean Film Festival 2017 Dates Announced


2016 saw a successful line up of films from South Korea, starting with Director Lee Kyoung-mi’s mystery thriller The Truth Beneath(2015) as part of the Opening Gala and ending with Director Hong Sangsoo’s romantic drama Yourself And Yours(2015) as part of the Closing Gala. The festival had a very Special Focus on Women Directors in which films were shown from the year 1955 till 2015, showing how the female directors have evolved in telling stories and making films with changing times. Veteran actor Baek Yoon-sik was part of the Actor Focus section of the film festival in which five of his best films were screened. He also participated in the film screenings and answered questions from the audience. Five Indie Films, two Animated features, six Documentaries and eight Mis-En-Scene Shorts were also shown in the film festival. Actor Ha Jung Woo along with Director Kim Sung-soo were also present during the film festival.
