26th Raindance Film Festival 2018 Commences This Month

The most prestigious The Raindance Film Festival 2018 will commence with its 26th edition from 26th of September with the UK Premiere of Director Marialy Rivas’s feature film Princesita, which will be screened as part of the Opening Gala of the festival. The festival will go on to show  over 80 feature films, 99 short films, 22 music videos and 33 VR experiences, including ​31 World Premieres, 28 International, 21 European and 81 UK Premieres. The main highlights of the festival include Director George Michael and David Austin’s documentary George Michael: Freedom – The Director’s Cut as part of the Gay Times Special Screening. The World Premiere of This Is Love directed by John Alexander. The UK Premiere of The Artist and The Pervert directed by Beatrice Behn and Rene Gebhart. The World Premiere of the Short Film Holy Moses directed by Eli Powers. The World Premiere of Dizzy Persuit directed by Jay Alvarez. The World Premiere of Team Khan directed by Oliver Clark & Blair MacDonald. A Retrospective of Mi Vida Loca directed by Allison Anders and A Fantastic Woman directed by Sebastián Lelio.

This time Raindance has brought forward a completely new experience in showing films, which is in the Virtual Reality (VR), and 7 Miracles directed by Rodrigo Cerqueiro and Marco Spagnoli, will be the first ever feature length VR film getting its World Premiere. This film will be shown among other films as part of the Raindance Gallery Of Immersive Stories.
