London’s Soho Power Outage Plunges 2300 Properties Into Darkness

Soho, London’s most poshest and busiest area totally plunged into darkness. The whole of Picadilly Area, China Town, Leicester Square including 2300 other properties experienced a total power outage. The reason is yet unknown. Black Friday, turned out to be a real Black Friday when people out and about in London experienced a total blackout. Houses, Restaurants, Cinemas, Takeaways, Theatres, Hotels and everything that completes the busy life of London came to a stand still as the power outage lasted. The power outage started at 17:16 pm and finished at 21:00 pm. Even the traffic lights were out, which caused confusion among car and bus drivers and created a gridlock. UK Power Networks said: “An underground electricity cable has faulted on our high voltage network causing an area wide power cut.”

Anyways, now that the electricity is back into action, London has also turned back to its normalcy. People out and about in Soho took to twitter and shared pictures and videos of this rare occurrence.
