1) Damsa

The timeless star, Nadia Jamil is returning to television after a hiatus of two years and is making sure her comeback proves to be worthwhile with ARY Digital’s ‘Damsa’.

Over the years, the actress has become a prominent voice against child abuse and continues to create a difference in our society. Perhaps that’s why she signed up for ‘Damsa’, a moving a story based on child-trafficking in Pakistan.

A quest of a mother to find her lost daughter, the drama is penned by Asma Nabeel of Khaani fame and is directed by Najaf Bilgirami.

We can already sense that Damsa will be a poignant tale that will prove to be heart-rending and gripping. While the release date has not been revealed yet, the teasers of the play are out and have created a massive stir on social media!

2) Jhooti

We must all agree that Iqra Aziz is being highly missed from our T.V screens! We last saw her in Ranjha Ranjha Kardi and can’t wait to see her next play!

The good news is that her upcoming drama ‘Jhooti’ has wrapped up its shooting and is likely to hit the screens soon. Directed by Ramish Rizvi and written by Ali Moeen, the drama also features Yasir Hussain, Ahmed Ali Butt, Asma Abbas, and Madiha Rizvi.

While the lovebirds Iqra and Yasir will be seen for the first time together in a drama with Jhooti, it is the comic actor Ahmed Ali Butt who will be playing the role of Iqra’s husband. The storyline revolves around a middle-class man, played by Butt who marries a compulsive liar, played by Iqra.

The drama seems like a must-watch and with Iqra Aziz in it, we bet her fans will not be missing it anyway!

3) Mushq

Imran Ashraf is clearly the star of 2019! With exceptional performances in both Ranjha Ranjha Kardi and Inkaar, the actor has become a hot property in the industry!

He has something even greater coming up soon a fresh Hum TV drama titled ‘Mushq’. Our hero has penned the drama himself and will also be playing the leading role.

Guess who Imran will be seen romancing in the drama?

It is our favorite Hocane haseena, Urwa! We last saw her in Udaari and it turned out to be a mega-hit it! While their coupling is rather unconventional, the starlet along with Imran is bound to create sparks on the screen.

What is even better, Mushq is being directed by Aehsun Talish, the mastermind behind projects like Suno Chanda, Alif Allah Aur Insaan and Ye Dil Mera. The drama is currently undergoing shooting and we are super excited for this one!

4) Chungal

Yumna Zaidi fans, yet another one of her play is on its way to win you over and warm your heart! Titled ‘Chungal’, the Hum TV production is being directed by Farooq Rind – the genius behind dramas like Ishq Zah e Naseeb and Baaghi.

Like the leading heroine, our male protagonist is equally compelling! Yumna will be seen across the chocolate boy, Bilal Abbas and the two will be brewing up a never-seen-before-love story on our T.V screens.

While not much is known about its plot and genre, the cast includes veterans like Omair Rana and Ateeqa Odho. Komal Aziz and Srha Asghar will be seen in supporting characters.

Yumna and Bilal have always chosen unique scripts in their career and we bet Chungal will surely be a one-of-its-kind story! Keeping our fingers crossed for this one.

5) Log Kya Kahainge

With a title so aptly suiting the Pakistani society, Log Kya Kahainge seems like a drama eyeing to break stereotypes prevailing in our society.

We will be seeing our ageless heroes Faysal Quraishi and Aijaz Aslam in the play. And we all know that these two firecrackers are guaranteed to bring a smashing story to our screens.

The rising actress, Saheefa Jabbar is the leading lady in the plot and will be essaying the role of Aijaz Aslam’s wife.

Directed by Mohsin Mirza, Log Kya Kahainge’s cast also includes Sakina Samo, Afshan Qureshi and Humera Zaheer in pivotal roles.

Will it be a hit or a miss with the Pakistani audience, let’s wait and watch!
