WONDER WOMAN Trailer Review The Amazonian Warrior Rises

WONDER WOMAN Trailer Review The Amazonian Warrior Rises. DC is introducing the Wonder Woman on the big screen with a movie solely focusing on her. The movie itself has been in development since 1996 and is finally coming into formation. It has been directed by Patty Jenkins, the second female director to direct a movie based on comics followed by Lexi Alexander who directed Punisher: War Zone (2008). This movie will most probably set up Justice League (2017) and is the start of a planned trilogy for Wonder Woman which has now been confirmed. Gal Gadot was not initially chosen to play the role which was considered for a number of other actresses which include Kate Beckinsale, Sandra Bullock, Mischa Barton, Rachel Bilson, Sarah Michelle Gellar, Jessica Biel, Eva Green, Christina Hendricks and Kristen Stewart.

Wonder Woman (Gal Gadot) is an Amazonian and lives on a sheltered island as a Princess. As the plot of the movie shows, an American pilot Steve Trevor (Chris Pine) crashes onto her island and tells her of a great war rising in the outside world. Here she makes a decision to go out and help resolve the massive conflict engulfing the world. As she explores the outside world, she explores herself too, and realises that she has powers she did not imagine she would have.

The trailer indicates that the island on which Wonder Woman lives, as Diana, is completely isolated from the outside world. When she makes her decision, Queen Hippolyta (Connie Nielson), her mother tells her ‘Be careful Diana, they do not deserve you.‘ Within the montage, different characters are introduced which include Menalippe (Lisa Loven Kongsli) and General Antiope (Robin Wright). The story is set in the years of the first world war, which is actually a hundred years before she comes out of her hiding and goes on to join the justice league along with other super heroes.

According to the trailer, the film is full of action with a war theme including a spy formula placed in it. DC Comic fans along with super hero fans would love this movie. As this is the first time the Wonder Woman character has been brought to life on the big screen, the fans would be dying to see it. The movie will have its release on 2nd June, 2017.
