Joker: Folie a Deux has wrapped production. Director Todd Phillips shared two images on Instagram captioning it by stating that ‘That’s a wrap. Thanks to these two (+ the entire cast) and the BEST crew that the film industry has to offer. From top to bottom. Gonna crawl into a cave now (edit room) and put it all together.’

The principal photography of the movie started in December, 2022. The exterior filming took place in Los Angeles and New York and the Arkham Asylum scenes were filmed in an abandoned Essex County Isolation Hospital. Other than that, the joker stairways scene was filmed on West 167th street in the Bronx and the filming officially wrapped on 4th April.

Joker: Folie a Deux is a sequel to Joker which was released in 2019 which was initially intended to be a standalone film. Joaquin Phoenix has reprised the role of Joker with Lady Gaga taking the role of Harley Quinn, a henchwoman to Joker.

The plot of the film is yet unknown and the release is expected to be on 4th October, 2024.
