VALENTINES DAY 2016: 6 Films For Couples To Watch

Oh well, the day of romance is upon us. A time to sit back and relax with your ‘you know who’, and enjoy some quality time together. What else can be more fun than snuggling up and watching a film which helps you fall more in love with each other. Following are 6 films that I have chosen for you love birds to watch on this Valentines  Week.

IN THE MOOD FOR LOVE (花樣年華)

In the Mood for Love Director Wong Kar Wai’s colourful and romantic masterpiece starring Tony Leung and Maggie Cheung find themselves falling in love as they keep having chance meetings.

MIDNIGHT IN PARIS

91E3F66rHWL._SL1500_Gil: This is unbelievable, there’s no city like this in the world.

Inez: You’re in love with it.

Gil: I’m in love with you.

Need i say more of this Woody Allen masterpiece all shot in the romantic city of Paris? Owen Wilson falls in love with Paris and ventures into times of where he comes across characters from the past and incidentally falls in love with one. It might just want you to go to Paris this Valentine’s Day.

The secret of the grain (La graine et le mulet)

526_box_348x490_original An Abdullatif Kachich film, with a very unique storyline, in which an old man looks for love within himself and his family, and dreams of making a restaurant on a ship solely selling fish couscous, a Moroccan delicacy.

ALL ABOUT MY WIFE (내 아내의 모든 것)

All-about-my-wife-poster A very comical look at the fall-in-love-at-first-sight of a couple coming from Korea. Director Kyu-dong Min shows a husband who is tired of his wife constantly talking and stalking him, and finds a way of letting go of her. I won’t recommend any husband to do this in real life though!

THE LUNCHBOX

Lunchbox_Poster_70x100 A housewife sends food for her husband, but it keeps ending up at the wrong place. Love is found in the most strangest possible way in this film, and what a pity, it can only happen in India!

Na Maloom Afraad (Unknown Assailants)

Family U2 In the chaotic city of Karachi, Pakistan, three men take advantage of the constantly changing times which go from good to bad in no time, but also strike it out with finding romance.
